Storytime!

Whether it be through a book, a movie, a song, or a video game, we experience stories every. Single. Day. Stories make things interesting. They give us things to talk to people about, they give us a brief escape, and perhaps most notable, they entertain. Yet with the millions of stories that exist and millions more being told every day, there are certain stories we as individuals are drawn towards. Whether a person wants the constant thrill they would get watching Psycho, or they find enjoyment in seeing a lawyer get eaten by the Tyrannosaurus in Jurassic Park, we all have our preference in genres. Regardless, with so many forms of storytelling, genres, characters, and such, what makes it all so entertaining in the long run?

The way we get to experience books, films, theater, etc. has greatly changed throughout the years.

Between topics and genres, to how we experience them with COVID and the quality shift with better animation technology, the movie experience in particular has changed a lot. Just take a look at the original Godzilla versus the most recent Godzilla: huge improvement.
